October, starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, has touched millions of hearts with its unconventional and powerful love story. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the movie has opened with some amazing critic reviews. October has been getting a kind of mixed word of mouth from the audience and that has reflected on the day ones collection of the film.
Alongside Varun Dhawan, this romantic drama features Banita Sandhu in lead roles. Must say both have played their characters outstandingly and are being appreciated by all the viewers. Directed Shoojit Sircar is also getting praised by the entire Bollywood for making such strong film on a love story subject.
On the first day, October opened on an ordinary note but by witnessing fair growth over the evening and night shows, it did the business of 5.04 crores on 1683 screens across India. With this, it has emerged the sixth highest opener of the year so far in Bollywood.
As a matter of Shoojit Sircar’s last directorial outing Piku had collected 5.30 crore on its first day while even his Madras Cafe had opened better at 5.23 crore. A lot needs to change now for the film today and tomorrow so that there is at least a respectable weekend on the cards.
On the next day i.e. Saturday, the film witnessed a solid growth of 48.21% than Friday and minted the number of 7.47 crores. After 2 days of release, October raised its total collection to 12.51 crores. Due to a public holiday, Sunday is expected to add an excellent business to its account.
