Naam Shabana 2nd Day Collection, Takes Decent Jump on Saturday

2 Days Total Collection of Naam Shabana

Despite getting a solo release, Naam Shabana starring Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpayee, didn’t live up to all the hype and expectations. The makers might have wanted to serve it as the spin-off of 2015 hit Baby which had Akshay Kumar in the lead, but the film seems to grapple with a weak plot and poor writing. Naam Shabana boasts of a long starry cast including a cameo by Akshay himself. Even the presence of Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran is not being able to do much.

The film looked like a bit of a no-hoper at its costs but now if mass can grow well on Sunday then the film can surprise with a good run. Naam Shabana performed best in Mumbai on Friday and on Saturday, Delhi / UP, East Punjab and Mysore have shown good growth. If the film can get to around 19 crore nett for the weekend it would be a decent number and a good first weekend result from where it opened on Friday morning.

On the opening day, Naam Shabana started with low occupancy but due to positive reactions of audience, it picked up impressively and raked the business of 5.12 crores. On the next day i.e. Saturday, due to positive word of mouth Naam Shabana reported better occupancy than Friday and witnessed impressive growth from evening shows.

Multi-screen cinemas are contributing very well to its business. With more than 24.41% of rise, the movie has added the amount of around 6.37 crores to its account. With this total 2 days collection of the movie has become 11.49 crores on domestic box office. As per the report Pink is positively expected to take more growth on Sunday and rake good business total in the opening weekend.
