MSG 4th Day Box Office Business
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s film “MSG: The Messenger“, which has created lot of buzz in the media, has released in cinema halls on 13 February and and surprisingly the film has done decent business on its opening weekend. “MSG” was scheduled for a January 16 release, but got delayed due to clearance issues with the censor board. In lieu of the controversy surrounding the film, the shows were not only booked in advance but are houseful for the weekend. Bulk bookings promise sky high figures over the weekend, with each ticket costing around Rs. 450 to Rs.500. Resultantly, “MSG” on its opening day opened with a fantastic response and raked in about Rs.7 crores at the worldwide box office. The opening day collection of “MSG” was much better than some Bollywood’s big releases. Due to the protest in some cities, some shows got cancelled on Day 2 and film saw some fall in its collection on Saturday. “MSG” earned about Rs.4 crores on Day 2, taking its two day total to Rs.11 crores.
MSG Fourth Day or Monday Box Office Report
“MSG” has not received much positive reviews due to which its collections are falling by each passing day. Also the other release, “Roy” is performing well at the box box office which is giving tough competition to “MSG“. The film was expected to show some growth on Sunday. But due to the India vs Pakistan ICC World Cup Match, the film did not show any major growth. The film collected merely Rs.2.5 crores (approx) on its third day. Film has earned more than Rs.13.5 crores in its opening weekend whih are more than good enough for a film like “MSG” with no story and no big actor. Since “MSG” has not received any positive reviews, the film is not expected to do well on weekdays. The film managed to grab the limelight due to controversies. Also, the reviews after the release have worked in the favour of the film. Now, the MSG had the average response today on the box office. The factor affecting its earning is that it has received negative reviews from critics. The film collected merely Rs.2 crores approx on its fourth day.
