MSG 5th Day Box Office Collection
“MSG: The Messenger” has received positive response from audience at the box office. Despite getting negative reviews from critics, the film did well at the box office, especially in the North circuits. “While the world was glued to #IndvsPak match, fans of #MSGTheFilm collected roughly 5.5 to 6crs in 2 days at the BO …GODLY,” trade analysts Girish Johar tweeted. “MSG: The Messenger” starring Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh minted approximately Rs.6 crore in two days. The film was released in 4000 screens in India along with Ranbir-Arjun starrer “Roy”. Despite getting negative reviews from critics, the film did well at the box office, especially in the North circuits. “MSG” was scheduled for a January 16 release, but got delayed due to clearance issues with the censor board. In lieu of the controversy surrounding the film, the shows were not only booked in advance but were houseful for the weekend. But film started to see huge drop in its collection from Monday onwards.
MSG The Film Tuesday Box Office Business
The box office collection of action flick “MSG” is dropping continuously on weekdays. The factor affecting its earning is that it has received negative reviews from critics. The film collected merely Rs.1 crore approx on its fifth day. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh starrer, is reportedly made on a whooping budget of Rs.55 crores. However, looking at the current trend, the film will have to fight it really hard to recover its costs. While “MSG” is heading towards a Rs.32-35 crores nett 1st week collections. The story revolves around Guru ji (Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh), who is a spiritual leader, and has a humongous fan base. He has accepted the challenge of eradicating social evils including drugs and gender-related issues, that have been prevailing in the society. Those with vested interests are now on a manhunt to track him down. MSG has garnered an impressive box office collection, but appalling reviews.
