7 Days Total Collection of M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story
MS Dhoni The Untold Story has become the highlight of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s career. He has not just impressed everyone with his acting skills, but he has also outshined in the way he portrayed the Indian skipper. From Dhoni’s mannerisms to his batting style, Sushant has out in a lot of hardwork to get every move right. Even his local accent is winning hearts. No wonder the biopic continues to stay strong at the box office. The film, which opened last Friday, managed to collect Rs. 88.63 crore till Thursday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted “#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory Fri 21.3 cr, Sat 20.6 cr, Sun 24.1 cr, Mon 8.51 cr, Tue 7.52 cr, Wed 6.6 cr. Total: ₹ 88.63 cr [Hindi+Tamil+Telugu]”. The movie had one of the biggest openings this year. It collected Rs 21.30 crore on Friday, Rs 20.60 crore on Saturday and Rs 24.10 crore on Sunday, earning a total of Rs. 66 crore in its opening weekend. Though the film saw a massive dip on Monday, it continued to stay strong. It’s profits stood at Rs 8.51 crore and Rs 7.52 crore on Monday and Tuesday respectively, while its Wednesday collection was of Rs 6.6 crore.
On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, the movie reported slight more drop than previous day and as per the report estimated to add the amount of 5.50 crores to its account. That means, the opening week net total collection of M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story would be around 94.13 crores on domestic box office. Not only in India but our captain cool has huge fan following in overseas too. From there the movie had reported quite excellent business of 21.96 crores in the opening weekend and reported to collect more than 35 crores in a week.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story traces the life and struggles of India’s most successful cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, from being a ticket collector working with the Indian Railways, to leading the Men in Blue to win the World Cup in 2011. Sushant prepared for the film and mastered Dhoni’s helicopter shot too, for several months. The film directed by Neeraj Pandey. It also stars actors Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, Anupam Kher and Bhoomika Chawla.
While the audience and makers of the film wait to see whether or not it’ll enter Bollywood’s much coveted 100 crore club, it bigger test lies with two films releasing on Friday. Mirzya directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra which marks the debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, and Tutak Tutak Tutiya starring Prabhudheva, Sonu Sood and Tamannaah Bhatia are ready to open this weekend. Will MS Dhoni: the Untold Story continue to hold a footing at the box office, is something we need to wait and watch.
