Marvel’s latest release Spider-Man: Homecoming has had a decent opening in India. The film not only did a fairly good business, it also beats this week’s Bollywood releases Mom and Guest iin London on the first day. As per initial reports, Spider-Man: Homecoming has collected 8.75 crores including 2.16 crores Thursday premiere and 9.36 crores Friday at the Indian box office on day one.
Thus, it exceeds the first-day box office collections of two Bollywood releases Mom and Guest iin London. While Sridevi – Nawazuddin Siddiqui – Akshaye Khanna starrer Mom has collected 2.90 crores on its first day, Paresh Rawal’s comedy film Guest iin London has had an average opening with only 2.10 crores on Friday.
With positive word of mouth, Mom showed good jump and estimated to collect the amount of 5.08 crores on Saturday from 1350 screens across India. While Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Kharbanda, Paresh Rawal & Tanvi Azmi starrer comedy drama Guest Iin London received unfavorable reviews from critics and mixed reactions from audience.
Anyhow Guest Iin London recorded little growth in footfalls and estimated to collect the amount of 2.75 crores on Saturday at domestic box office. Also, on Saturday, being weekend Hollywood Biggie Spider-Man: Homecoming recorded more growth and estimated to collect the amount of 10.66 crores with this its total collection of around 20.02 crore at Indian box office.
