Mastizaade Critics Review & Star Rating

Star Rating:- 3.5/5

Upcoming S*x Comedy Film “Mastizaade” is all set to hit the screen this Friday i.e tomorrow. This movie is directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Nandy. Film starring Sunny Leone in a dual role alongside Tushar Kapoor and Vir Das in lead roles with Shaad Randhawa,Suresh Menon, and Vivek Vaswani in supporting roles while Ritesh Deshmukh will appear in a cameo. The music for Mastizaade is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan, Amaal Mallik, and Anand Raj Anand. Sanjoy Chowdhury composed the background score for the film. The lyrics were written by Kumaar, Anand Raj Anand and Manoj Muntashir. The music rights have been acquired by T-Series. Leone’s popular song “Baby Doll” from the movie Ragini MMS 2 has been recreated and used in the film.

According to the, Mastizaade makes zero qualms about the genre it belongs to. So if you are going in to raise your eyebrows or exhibit an air of unapproval about the content on screen, then this ticket isn’t for you. The film is full of double meaning dialogues, sexual metaphors and corny dialogues meant to titillate and entertain you. Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das play ad film makers who have the super power of undressing any girl with their vision. Things change when they meet twins – Laila and Lily plied by the box office draw of the film – Sunny Leone.

There are ample instances that will appeal to your sense of humour if the genre is something that interests you. Also Sunny manages to keep your interest retained in her double role. Tusshar and Vir have an impeccable comic timing and compliment each other. However a big drawback of the film is the annoying product placement. A full blown ad for a brand is plugged in the first half. Now was that was really necessary. For Sunny fans, this is clearly a double treat. While her hot sexy Laila is appealing, it’s the geeky stammering Lily who manages to keep your interest alive in the plot. Also, Mastizaade borrows a lot of its comedy from Whatsapp jokes and humor from social media. So a few gags that you will watch seem highly predictable.
