Mammotty’s Kasaba Teaser Review & Audience Reaction- Live Update

Kasaba (Malayalam) Teaser is Out Now

The official teaser of Mammootty’s upcoming Malayalam movie “Kasaba” was released on the YouTube page of Goodwill Entertainments on Saturday, June 25. The 28-second teaser features the megastar as a police officer with a different style. Recently, another video, alleged to be the teaser of the Mammootty-starrer, was leaked on the internet. After the 37-second ‘teaser’ went viral on social media, the film’s director Nithin Renji Panicker came forward asking the audience not to promote the video as it is not the official teaser of the Mammootty-starrer. “Hai all..the Kasaba ‘teaser’ doing rounds on the web is not an official one..its a leaked copy of one among a dozen of teasers planned for the official release..its got a reference music and no other post production works were done on it..unfortunate..please dont promote it [sic],” the makers posted on the Facebook page of “Kasaba.”

The upcoming action thriller is being helmed by debutant Nithin, who had assisted his father Renji Panicker and director Shaji Kailas in many movies. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year as Mammootty will be seen as a police officer after a gap of five years. He plays CI Rajan Zacharia in the movie, which stars Neha Saxena and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the female lead roles.

Meanwhile, the first-look poster of the film was opened to a tremendous response from the audience, who were quick to create trolls and memes on it. After the trolls went viral, Mammootty even shared selected memes calling them the modern face of satire. Following this, the audience also trolled the second and third posters of “Kasaba.”

Scripted by Nithin, the action thriller is being produced by Alice George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments. While Sameer Haq handles its cinematography, the music is being composed by Rahul Raj. “Kasaba” is scheduled to hit the theatres as an Eid release in July, locking horns with many other big budget movies at the Kerala box office.
