Kumari 21F 1st Day Box Office Response
Director Palnati Surya Pratap’s “Kumari 21F” featuring actor Raj Tarun and actress Hebah Patel in the lead roles, has received mixed reviews from the audience. Coming to the story, “Kumari 21F” is a coming-of-age love story, which has been written by director Sukumar — who has also produced this movie. The film revolves around a young guy, who falls in love with a 21-year-old model, but cannot overcome his insecurities. The movie is about the emotional turmoil of this over-possessive boy in dealing with his hep girlfriend. Sukumar has chosen a routine subject, but the way he has presented it on-screen is very fresh and unique. The first half of the movie is very good and entertaining, but the second half is bit slow and dragging in parts. Overall, it is good entertainer that will impress the young viewers, say the audience, who have already watched the movie. Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel, who have played the insecure boyfriend and model respectively, have done justice to their roles. Their performance and their amazing chemistry are among the highlights of the flick. The film has decent production values and Devi Sri Prasad’s music and Ratnavelu’s camera work are big attractions in the technical front, add the audience.

Kumari 21F is a mid budget movie with the story already known but in different style. Definitely it is a clean young generation entertainer hence all type of audience in south Indian states went to watch this film today resulting in nice 50-55% occupancy and performance. It seems audiences have truly appreciated the movie and the star cast’s performances as well. First day has proved nice in its favor with positive reviews. Anyhow, On its opening day it has collected an excellent income of around 3+ crores* from its region which is a fabulous amount. Due to a young youth entertainer and clean script, most of the audience could be seen coming in good rush for this film which has affected it positively. Also due to low competition in south cinemas these days owing to non availability of any other big option, film has managed to make its place among the viewers and get decent reviews by the end of first day. Film is expected to rise more with the weekend days.
