9 Days Business of Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150
Megastar Chiranjeevi is back to the silver screen with Khaidi No 150, which is shattering box-office records with its collections. As per reports, the film has netted Rs 120 crore at the box office. In a statement, producer Allu Aravind confirmed that the film has grossed Rs 100-crore mark in the opening weekend. The film, which opened to terrific response from fans, raked in more than Rs 47 crore on its opening day, which is huge as the film hit the screens on a working day.
On its second day, Khaidi No 150 made a business of Rs 20 crore at the box office. Khaidi No 150 collected Rs 15 crore from the overseas market. It must be noted that Baahubali raked in Rs 100 crore in its second day itself, while it took five days for Khaidi No 150. Considering the steady growth of Khaidi No 150, the Chiranjeevi-starrer is likely to emerge as one of the highest grossing films in the history of Telugu cinema.
Khaidi No 150 completed the first week with total business of 55.60 crores from AP/T screens and 15.10 crores from USA screens. In its second week too the movie is performing like a new release, collected 2.50 crores on its 8th day i.e. the first day of its second week. From weekend the movie was expected to take and it resulted out in the same.
On its 9th day Khaidi No 150 showed massive growth in its business and minted around 2.12 crores* in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Screens; made its total domestic collection to 60.22 crores*. Directed by V.V. Vinayak, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Tarun Arora. An official remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, the film features Chiranjeevi in a dual role, and has music by Devi Sri Prasad.Returning to face the arc lights after a decade, Chiranjeevi has been welcomed with much fanfare.
