Katamarayudu 6th Day Collection, Pawan Kalyan’s film gets Steady Response

After an amazing start, Pawan Kalyan’s latest Telugu offering ‘Katamarayudu’ is now running decently on box office. Katamarayudu is an official Telugu remake of superstar Ajith Kumar’s 2014 Tamil movie Veeram. Anyhow, the movie got the 5th highest opening of all times at the Telugu box office and 15th highest grossing movie of all times in the country, knocking PK out of the top fifteen list. katamarayudu-6th-day-box-office-collection

The story is of an influential and powerful man in a village in Rayalaseema and is about his efforts to protect his girlfriend and her family from an imminent danger. The movie also stars Shruti Haasan in the lead role. This is the second film of Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan together after Gabbar Singh, which had also enjoyed a successful run at the box office. Apart from them, the movie also features Siva Balaji, Ajay, Kamal Kamaraju and Chaitanya Krishna in pivotal roles.

In its opening weekend, Katamarayudu witnessed overall good response and minted the amount of around 36.25 cr on 1500 screens across Telugu states. The weekend total includes 22.25 cr of Friday, 5.10 cr of Saturday and 8.90 cr of Sunday. With this, it has dominated the opening day record of Pawan’s last offering Sardar Gabbar Singh, that was 20.50 crores nett.

In weekdays, Kishore Kumar Pardasani’s directorial is witnessing decent footfall in theaters. On Monday it faced 55% of drop than Sunday and minted the amount of 4 crore. Then on the next day with slight more drop, it raked the business of 3.50 crore as its fifth day collection. On Wednesday it reported little drop and added 3.07 crore* to its account and made its 6 days total as 46.82 crore* on AP/T box office.
