Kaabil Hoon Song from Kaabil
The much awaited video of the song from Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s 2017 release Kaabil will release tomorrow but we have already heard the audio of Kaabil Hoon and here’s what we think. The song, written by Nasir Faraaz and composed by Rajesh Roshan is a beautiful romantic number that stars slow and then picks up tempo as it progresses.
Singer Jubin Nautiyal’s voice is fresh also because he doesn’t have any popular numbers in his kitty as yet. However, this mesmerizing voice suits Hrithik. On the other hand, Palak Muchhal’s rendition of the parts played by Yami Gautam fail to add any magic to the number. In fact you can sense that the singer is struggling in the higher notes. Coming to the lyrics…
Tere mere sapne sabhi
Bandh Aankhon ke taale mein hai
Chaabi kahan dhoondhe bhata
Who chaand ke pyaale mein hain
Phir bhi sapne sach kar dikhaaun sach toh kehna bus yahi…
Main tere kaabil hoon ya, tere kaabil nahi
Nasir Faraaz’s words are simple and go with the movie’s plot where the protagonists are blind and yet, they live, laugh and love just like everyone in this world. Kaabil Hoon very well highlights this ‘normalcy’ despite the disability. It is a soothing track and the simple lyrics does make it hummable but you will find it hard to fall in love with the song immediately. It certainly will take time to grow on you. All in all, it is a very average number and will now it all depends on how the visual turns out. With what we have seen of Hrithik-Yami’s chemistry in the trailers, the two stars that are paired opposite each other for the first time, might be able to add value to the song for it to remain etched on our minds.
What surprises us is the music of the song Kaabil Hoon fails to make a mark despite being composed by Rajesh Roshan. We certainly expected better from the man who gave us some great music in Hrithik Roshan’s earlier films like Krrish, Koi… Mil Gaya, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum amongst others. The film is directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan and will hit screens on 25th of January 2017.
