Judwaa 2 8th Day Collection, Varun’s Film Enters in 100 Crore Club with 2nd Friday

After an excellent opening week, David Dhawan’s recent production Judwaa 2 has now entered in the second weekend. Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer this action comedy was released last week with immense excitement of fans and as expected witnessed very favorable response from all the viewers.

Judwaa 2 has received mixed reviews from most of the critics but still attracting major segment of audience toward theaters across the country. With high initial buzz, it started it’s journey on an impressive note and did the business of 59.25 crores in the opening weekend from more than 3500 screens across India.

The weekend total was including 16.10 crores of Friday, 20.55 crores of Saturday and 22.60 crores of Sunday. After that on Monday due to Gandhi Jayanti Holiday, David Dhawan’s directorial remained strong as weekend and added the amount of 18 crores to it’s account. Then on Tuesday due to normal working day, Judwaa 2 faced 55.43% of drop and managed to collect the amount of 8.05 crores.

With further drops, it minted the amount of 6.72 crores on Wednesday and 6.06 crores on Thursday. After the opening week, total collection of the movie was recorded as 98.08 crores on domestic box office. Now Varun-Jacqueline-Taapsee starrer Judwaa 2 has entered in the second weekend and garnered the business of 4.25 crores more drop than previous day.

With this, it’s 8 days domestic total has become 102.33 crores. According to trade analysts, the movie is pumping oxygen in the ailing industry. On the very first day, ‘Judwaa 2’ was able to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and gain the fourth spot in the list of the highest openers of 2017, leaving the superstar’s movie in the fifth position.

By the end of the first weekend, Varun Dhawan was able to earn more than Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, and secure the fifth position in the top 10 list of highest weekend grossers of 2017.
