Judwaa 2 19th Day Collection, Varun Dhawan Starrer Still Heading Decently

The action-comedy drama Judwaa 2 has not only ended the long dry spell of Indian box office but also emerged as the third highest grossing movie of the year so far within 18 days. The film has accumulated 134.28 crores so far and in the process, it has gone past the lifetime numbers of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha [134.25 crores]. Now it is running in third week and heading smoothly to acquire second position by dominating SRK’s Raees.

Being superstar Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer, Judwaa 2 was released with enormous hype among his fans and as expected reported excellent business throughout the opening week. It raked the amount of 98.08 crores with 59.25 crores of weekend and 38.83 crores of weekdays from around 3500 screens nationwide.

In the second week too, the movie remained good and managed to collect 27.76 crores including 18.10 crores of weekend and 9.66 crores of weekdays. Now it is running in third week and slowed down due to having several new Hindi offerings in opposite but still has enough hold over the audience.

In the third weekend, Judwaa 2 raked the business of 7.19 crores with 1.72 crore of Friday, 2.65 crore of Saturday and 2.82 crore of Sunday. After 17 days of release, total collection of the movie was recorded as 133.03 crores. Now once again David Dhawan’s directorial is in weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before.

On 3rd Monday, it faced 30% of drop than Friday and minted 1.25 crore. While on the next day i.e. 3rd Tuesday, Judwaa 2 garnered 1.10 crore and raised it’s 19 days domestic total to 135.38 crores. For Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox, Judwaa 2 is a major film in their repertoire now.

Nadiadwala Grandson has delivered many Superhits in the past and now Judwaa 2 is next only to their biggest Blockbuster till date, Kick, which had entered the 200 Crore Club.
