Jolly LLB 2 is slated to release on February 10!
‘Jolly LLB 2’ finally gets UA certificate! The upcoming courtroom comedy drama has been passed with no cuts. The movie starring Akshay Kumar was in legal trouble after shoe manufacturer Bata had sued the makers of the film including the lead actor and Anuu Kapoor for projecting the brand in a wrong way in the film’s trailer. A petition was then filed to remove the word LLB from the film. As per the latest development, the reference to show the shoe brand was removed from the film even much before it was brought to the censor board.
After ‘Jolly LLB 2’ was passed with no cuts, there were queries on why the supposedly controversial portions in the upcoming flick were being tossed around in the press, reports Bollywood Hungama. A source revealed to the portal, “The film that was shown to censor board had no controversial statements on the legal system. Even the reference to the show company Bata was removed before the film was brought to the censor board. The version of film shown to the censor board had nothing even remotely controversial about it.”
The film revolves around lawyers and court cases. Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of Jolly Jagdishwar Mishra. His character has already received lot of praises and fans are just waiting for the film to release. The film which is a sequel to the 2013 released film ‘Jolly LLB’ will hit the silver screens on February 10. This film has comedy, romance and it will also highlight cases based on some true events that happened in the country.
‘Jolly LLB 2’ also stars Huma Qureshi as Pushpa Pandey and Saurabh Shukla as Justice Sundendralal Tripathi. Annu Kapoor plays the character of a rival lawyer in the film named Sachin Kantilal Mathur. We got to catch a glimpse of it in the trailer. For further updates, keep watching this space.
