jillGopichand’s highly-anticipated Telugu movie “Jil” released in theatres on 27th March and has garnered positive reviews from the viewers across the globe. Producers Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati have produced “Jil” under the banner UV Creations. Gopichand and Raashi Khanna have played the lead roles, while Chalapathi Rao, Srinivas Avasarala and Posani Krishna Murali appeared in other key roles of the film, directed by Radha Krishna. “Jil” has an interesting story that has not been brought onto Tollywood screens before. Gopichand is a fire officer and he tries to save the villain’s right hand Prudhvi in a fire accident. But the villain starts chasing Gopichand, his friends and family. Why the villain targets him forms the crux of the story. The movie starts on a slow note, but picks up very soon. Both first and second half of the film are engaging and entertaining. Gopichand’s performance, Raashi’s glamour, few comedy scenes, Radha Krishna’s story, screenplay and dialogues, Mohamaad Ghibran’s music, Kanal Kannan’s stunts and Shobi’s choreography are the main highlights of “Jil”, say the audience.

Gopichand’s “Jil” has opened to a fantastic response at the box office worldwide, while the other new release “Rey” featuring Mega family hero Sai Dharam Tej has received average response. “Jil” has been creating ripples in the media ever since it was announced. Its promos created lot of curiosity among film goers. The makers had massive promotions for it. The movie had decent advance booking for its first day. Trade experts in T-town predicted that it would open to an overwhelming response at the box office and become the biggest opener for Gopichand. As predicted, the Gopichand-Raashi Khanna starrer film, which released in over 700 screens around the world on 27 March, debuted with superb response. The screening of the film was started much earlier than the regular schedule in many places and theatres saw decent response from movie buffs. “Jil” registered an average of 70 per cent occupancy for the first official show. The movie ran to packed houses at many places. The average occupancy for the film reached 80 percent in the subsequent shows and expected to go up further in the evening shows. Early trends suggest the film is likely to collect approximately Rs 4 crore to Rs 4.50 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day.
