Jazbaa 2nd Day (Saturday) Collection – Second Day Box Office Business Report

Jazbaa 2nd Day Box Office Collection

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s “Jazbaa” got off to a rather slow start at the box office. The action thriller, directed by Sanjay Gupta, opened to approximately 35% occupancy on the first day. “Jazbaa”, which opened to mixed critics reviews, earned Rs 4.23 crore on its opening day at the box office. The opening day box office collection of Aishwarya Rai’s “Jazbaa” is better than her last release “Guzaarish”, which minted approximately Rs 4 crore when released. But “Jazbaa” was expected to do well as it was promoted heavily before its release. However, critics are positive that the box office collection will increase on third day (Sunday). The film has performed well at the Mumbai, Delhi, National Capital Region and UP circuits. Now the opening weekend box office collection result will depend on word of mouth. If the trend in the collection increases then the film will have an opening weekend of Rs 15 crore. “Jazbaa”, which is a remake of South Korean film “Seven Days”, is made on a budget of approximately Rs 30 crore. The film will have to put up a good show in its first week run to earn the production cost. Meanwhile, at the overseas box office “Jazbaa” has embarked on a good note. Aishwarya Rai’s film minted Rs 79.32 lakh from the UAE-GCC box office on Thursday.

Jazbaa Saturday Business Report

With this, the film has taken one of the best opening amongst 2015 releases that have featured a woman as the central protagonist. Earlier this year, NH10 took an opening day of 3.35 crore and that belonged to similar genre. While the Anushka Sharma starrer went on to do good business at the Box Office, it has to be seen that how far does Jazbaa go from here. The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer has seen decent to very good reviews all over and the word of mouth is on the positive side as well with no one really disliking the film. Since there isn’t much competition in theaters currently, Jazbaa has in it to grow reasonably well over the weekend and then sustain during the weekdays. On Saturday or 2nd Day movie occupancy was expected to increase with every passing show and this is exactly what happened when footfalls saw an escalation in the evening and night shows, especially at the multiplexes. As a result, the film’s Saturday collections stand at 4.50 crore*. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film features Aishwarya Rai, Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, Siddhanth Kapoor and Priya Banerjee in important roles.
