Jr NTR’s recent offering Jai Lava Kusa is enjoying overwhelmed response of audience across the globe. The movie has been released with humongous buzz and witnessing immense craze of fans from the very first day of release. All the viewers liked it very much and showing huge thumbs up for it.
KS Ravindra aka Bobby’s directorial action-drama Jai Lava Kusa received very positive reviews from most of the critics, which generated strong word of mouth about it. Critics marked it as the power-packed family entertainer and appreciated the performances of lead stars.
On the opening day, Jai Lava Kusa reported exceptional response across Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and did the business of 32.10 crores from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, this includes 21.91 crores of distributor’s share which is highest ever opening of Jr. NTR’s career. With this it emerged as the biggest opener of the year so far in these regions.
At worldwide box office, it grossed the amount of 47.25 crores on Thursday with 2400 screens. On the next day, like other south Indian films Jai Lava Kusa too witnessed heavy drop in business graph but still remained strong. On Friday it did the business of 14.50 crores gross globally, including 6.20 crores of AP & T, 4.55 crores from rest of India and 3.75 crores from overseas.
With further drop, Jr. NTR starrer grossed the business of 14.17 crores on Saturday that included 5.70 crores from Telugu states, 4.30 crores from rest of India and 4 crores from overseas. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being public holiday Jai Lava Kusa recorded little better response than previous day and collected the amount of 16.25 crores includes 7.50 crores of Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, 5.35 crores from rest of India and 4 crores from overseas.
With this total opening weekend gross collection of Jai Lava Kusa has become 92 crores. Anyhow, Jai Lava Kusa is the first collaboration of JR NTR with his actor-producer brother Kalyan Ram under his home production banner NTR Arts. Jai Lava Kusa film follows the story of triplets who get separated as children and how they deal with their emotional problems when the grow up that stem from the memories of an unhappy childhood.
