Shahrukh Khan is one of the actors in Bollywood, whose movies release like a festival on box office. The similar scenario was with his latest offering Jab Harry Met Sejal also, but this time the outcome is completely opposite. The romantic drama JHMS has been released last Friday with massive excitement of fans as well as audience across the globe.

Also it has received mixed reviews from critics. That is why SRK-Anushka starrer was released with huge expectations, but unfortunately got failed to impress critics as well as audience and crashed too early. In the weekend, Imtiaz Ali’s directorial had raked the total business of 45.75 crores at domestic box office from 3200 screens across the country., that includes 15.25 cr of Friday, 15 cr of Saturday and 15.50 cr of Sunday.

In weekdays, it faced heavy drops and received very less than expected. On Monday there was a holiday on account of Raksha Bandhan, but still the movie faced considerable drop and scored 7.15 crores. On the next day i.e. Tuesday, this biggie dropped by an abrupt rate and raked the business of only 2.90 crores.

On Wednesday, Jab Harry Met Sejal faced more drop and scored 2.20 cr as its 6th day collection. The on Thursday, it added the amount of 1.75 cr to its account and made its first week total as 59.75 cr on domestic box office. The film has crossed the lifetime of Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos. Anurag Basu’s musical stands at 53.38 crores and Jab Harry Met Sejal has managed to surpass it in 5 days.

Though Jagga Jasoos is a flop at the box office, Jab Harry Met Sejal seems to follow the same line. The trending of the film has been very poor following the negative word of mouth. Also, this week Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will release and it will be interesting to see which films will get more screens – Mubarakan or Jab Harry Met Sejal.
