Jab Harry Met Sejal 2nd Day Collection, SRK’s Film Remains Steady on Saturday

Yes! on it’s opening day, Shahrukh Khan starrer highly awaited Jab Harry Met Sejal has fetched lesser amount than expected and received mixed reviews from critics. But that won’t affect it’s performance much, because most of the audience is reacting in favor. Expectations were sky-high when SRK and Imtiaz Ali collaborated for a good ol’ romance. And Anushka Sharma to the mix, and it only sets the bar higher.

Jab Harry Met Sejal 2nd Day Collection

However, Jab Harry Met Sejal has been disappointing not only in terms of its reviews but also its box office collection. With enormous buzz among fans as well as moviegoers, Jab Harry Met Sejal has been released this Friday and as expected received overwhelmed response from fans. Although some critics have not found it up to the mark, but with the favorable response of viewers the film gained decent word of mouth.

On the opening day, Shahrukh Khan’s latest offering recorded overall 45% of occupancy on 3200+ screens across the country and registered the fourth highest opening of the year in Hindi Cinema with the amount of 15.25 crores, after Baahubali 2 Hindi (41 crores), Tubelight (21.15 crores) and Raees (20.42 crores).

Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, due to mixed reviews the movie hasn’t witnessed any growth and garnered the business of 15 crores with slight jump in footfalls. After 2 days of release, total collection of Jab Harry Met Sejal is recorded as 30.25 crores nett at domestic box office. It is positively expected to take good jump on Sunday and Monday due to Raksha Bandhan.

However, Jab Harry Met Sejal arrived solo (after making a smart call to not clash with Toilet – Ek Prem Katha) and has still fared much lesser. No wonder, Bollywood’s wait for a big ticket opening continues and one waits to see whether the jinx would be broken with Toilet – Ek Prem Katha that arrives on the coming Friday. Jab Harry Met Sejal is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment is directed by Imtiaz Ali.
