Last Friday released suspense genre, Ittefaq has been completed it’s opening week journey on a decent note across the country. Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna starrer this offering has received favorable response from fans as well as audience, specially in Delhi, Mumbai and nearby regions.
But the suspense genre, lack of competition from Hindi releases and intrigue value attached to the film might help the film in the long run. Abhay Chopra’s directorial suspense thriller Ittefaq has also received positive reviews from critics as well as audience but still heading decently at box office due to clutter.
In the opening weekend, director Abhay Chopra’s this recent venture witnessed constant growth in it’s business graph and did a decent business of 16.05 crores, which was including 4.05 crores of Friday, 5.50 crores of Saturday and 6.50 crores of Sunday from around 1100 screens in India.
Then in weekdays, asusual Ittefaq recorded lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier due to normal working days. On Monday with around 44.5% of drop it minted the amount of 2.25 crores. With further fall, the movie managed to collect the amount of 2 crore on Tuesday and 1.75 crore on Wednesday.
On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Ittefaq faced more drop and raked the business of 1.60 crore. With this, total first week collection of the movie has become 23.65 crores on domestic box office. Now from the new week, it will have new Hindi offerings Qarib Qarib Singlle & Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana in opposite.
