After a decent opening, Sonakshi Sinha, Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna starrer has faced an abrupt dip in weekdays but still has enough hold over the audience and heading steadily. Due to good star power, music and promotions, this Abhay Chopra’s directorial was released with fair buzz and as expected witnessed almost favorable response of audience.
Everyone liked the performances given by the lead stars and movie’s music. But some critics have not found it’s screenplay up to the mark and reviewed the movie with mixed comments. Despite mixed reviews, Ittefaq managed to start the journey at box office on a decent note and heading steadily in weekdays.
In the opening weekend, Ittefaq reported overall 20-25% of occupancy throughout and did the decent business of 16.05 crores, which was including 4.05 crores of Friday, 5.50 cores of Saturday and 6.50 crores of Sunday from around 1100 screens across the country. While the adjacently released Thor Ragnarok raked the business of 27.66 crore.
Now Dharma and Red Chillies production venture is running in weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than earlier. On Monday, it faced around 44.50% of drop than last Friday and minted the amount of 2.25 crores. With slight more fall on Tuesday, the movie added the amount of 2 crore to it’s account.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Ittefaq recorded more drop and garnered the business of 1.75 crore and made it’s 6 days domestic total as 22.05 crores. With such pace, the movie is likely to do the business of around 23.60 crores nett. in the opening week
