Hebbuli is a Kannada film featuring actor Kichcha Sudeep is all set to hit the theatres today i.e. February 23, 2017. The movie received U/A certification minus a single cut from the censor board. The film has just released and is already making a lot of noise at the box office. News has it that Sudeep starrer is already in the profit zone. This turnover has been received from selling satellite TV rights and advances from exhibitors. Hebbuli has jointly produced the film jointly with SRV Entertainments and now Umapathy is distributing the movie with Jack Manju. Helmed by S Krishna, Hebbuli is touted to be based on the Indian army’s recent surgical strike in Kashmir. In addition to Sudeep, the film also features Amala Paul, V Ravichandran, Kabir Duhan Singh and P Ravi Shankar. Sudeep became famous after SS Rajamouli’s Eega which was released in Hindi as Makkhi in 2012.

Speculations are rife that Hebbuli was made on a very high budget and will release in more than 300 screens across the state. The film has huge pre-release buzz and the makers are hoping to make more than Rs 6.50 crore on the opening day itself. Hebbuli will release in the overseas release a week after its release in India. The total number of screens in which the film will released in both Indian and international markets goes up to 600.

Everyone is hoping to get a huge opening since there is a huge demand for the film. Umapathy adds, “On technical terms, if we count the screens in multiplexes the film is releasing in, the number will reach 400. It is a sense of fulfilment when you see theatre owners demanding the film to be screened in their theatres. The film will release in around 30 centres across India including in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi.”
