3 movie released at the box office today. Writer-filmmaker Milap Zaveri’s Hate Story 4, Arjun Mukherjee’s 3 Storeys and Vashu Bhagnani’s film Dil Juunglee. These movies can prove to be a competition for themselves only. Hate Story 4 opened at a decent occupancy of 15%-20%, Dil Juunglee opened low at 5% whereas 3 Storeys started off slow with 5%-10%.
Hate Story is an erotic thriller, which was first released in 2012, directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Its second installment came in 2014 and the third film was directed by Vishal Pandya. The film included names like Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali, Zareen Khan, Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi and Daisy Shah.
On the opening day, Hate Story 4 recorded only 15% of occupancy for morning shows across the country. From evening shows, it raised up little in multiplexes and registered the opening of 3.76 crore across the country. The film could take decent jump on Saturday and Sunday due to the face value of Urvashi.
While Dil Juunglee features Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu. Jackky is also appearing in one of the songs of the film sung by Guru Randhawa. Apart from Saqib and Taapsee, the film also stars Abhilash Thapliyal, Shrishti Shrivastav, and Nidhi Singh. On the opening day, Aleya Sen’s directorial reported around 5-10% of occupancy across India and remained on the ground with 0.35 crore.
Whereas 3 storeys proves to be the debuting platform for young talents Aisha Ahmed and Ankit Rathi. Produced by Priya Sreedharan, Ritesh Sidhwan, and Farhan Akhtar, the story promises to make you wonder about people’s ‘real’ faces. 3 Storeys, presented by B4U Motion Pictures and produced by Excel Entertainment.
The movie has got failed to impress critics at any point but with the support of fans, received some response on single screens. It recorded overall occupancy of 5-10% across the country and garnered the business of only 0.35 crore.
