Kartik Aryan and Kriti Kharbanda starrer Guest Iin London is facing a tough time at the box office. It seems that the film will turn out to be a one week affair at the domestic market. In the opening weekend, it did the business of only 7.95 crores from 900 screens domestically. In weekdays, asusual it slipped by 47% than the opening day and minted the amount of 1.10 crore on Monday.
On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it witnessed more drop and managed to collect the amount of 0.85 crore. On Wednesday, Ashwni Dhir’s directorial minted 0.60 crore and made it’s 6 days domestic total as 10.50 crores. On the other hand, Mom has turned out to be a critics favourite, despite its common story-line with Raveena Tandon’s Maatr.
It was Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s stellar act that powered this film ahead. In the opening weekend, it garnered the business of 14.40 crores with 2.90 crores on Friday, 5.08 crores on Saturday and 6.42 crores on Sunday from 1350 screens nationwide. On Monday, Mom collected the amount of 2.52 crores, which was 13% lower than the opening day.
Interestingly, after taking off with a decent first Monday, the film showed a slight jump over the fifth day. On its first Tuesday, the film collected 2.74 crores. On Wednesday, it faced 6% of dip and garnered the business of 2.23 crores to make it’s 6 days domestic total as 21.89 crores. Coming to the Hollywood Cinema Marvel super-hero flick Spider-Man: Homecoming has taken over it’s command at box office.
Despite lesser screens than Bollywood’s offerings, it registered the business of 28.66 crores in the opening weekend. In weekdays, the movie recorded usual drop but managed to remain almost steady. With 49% of dip than the opening day, Jon Watts’ directorial garnered the business of 3.75 crore on Monday, then 3 crore on Tuesday and 2.65 crore on Wednesday. This has raised it’s 6 days domestic total to 38.06 crores.
