Nandamuri Balakrishna (NBK100) GPS Trailer
A very normal Friday with no big releases in the Telugu states, is resembling as if a biggie has released, at some theatres. Guess the reason? Yes, it’s the day when the theatrical trailer of Balakrishna Nandamuri’s Gautamiputra Satakarni gets released in 100 theatres. While the principle team of GPS is in Karimnagar to launch the trailer, it can be expected and understood that the fans there would create hungama. But, at almost all the 100 theatres where the trailer would be screened, similar atmosphere is being reported.
Huge banners, cut-outs, festival ambience, Balayya fans chanting ‘Jai Balayya’ slogans etc. are witnessed at the theatres. Some are even sporting specially designed GPS T-shirts to promote the trailer launch. Filmmakers like Anil Sunkara and Sriwaas have also joined the hungama at the famous Bhramaramba theatre at Kukatpally in Hyderabad. Looking at the hungama at theatres, one wonders if just the trailer is releasing or the movie itself!! Ever since the movie Gautamiputra Satakarni was announced there have been tremendous expectations on the film.
First of all it comes in the unique combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Krish, then it is historical and finally, more importantly, it is the 100the film of the star. Everything related to the movie has been keenly followed by the fans. It meant many were left disappointed with the images coming from sets. However, the expectations never decreased as everyone trusted in Krish’s vision. Today it can be said that the trailer has lived up to the fans expectations.
There are few unflattering shots at places but overall it is mighty fine as far as the trailer is concerned. The dialogues are good, visuals are superb and set work looks nice. Background score is good as well. Overall, the trust in Krish has paid off for now. Check out the trailer below. Gautamiputra Satakarni is coming with massive hype. The makers are planning for a Sankranthi 2017 release. A release date will be officially announced on audio release day.
