Fitoor 3rd Day (Sunday) Collection: 1st Weekend Performance Report

Fitoor 3rd Day Collection Report

Aditya Roy Kapur-Katrina Kaif starrer “Fitoor” at the domestic (India) box office. “Fitoor”, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, released in 1,400 screens in India Friday and approximately 400 screens internationally. The Kapur-Kaif starrer opened to a mixed bag of reviews with occupancy of just 20 to 30 percent. The film was not expected to have a big opening, but the opening day box office is disappointing. “Fitoor Fri Rs 3.61 cr & Sat Rs 4.50 cr. The film had to be up 50% at a minimum just for a decent trend.  This sort of growth means the film is going no where as metros are best on Saturday.

“Fitoor”, which also features Tabu in lead role, earned just Rs 8.11 crore on its two days of released. The film will have to earn huge numbers over the weekend to sail safe and record a decent three-day box office collection. “Fitoor” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel “Great Expectations.” The film, which is written by Kapoor and Supratik Sen, also features Ajay Devgn in an intense role.

In just 3 days of its release date Fitoor have a good and excellent start in the opening day from 1400 plus screens across India. Movie collected decent figures on its opening day as well as the first weekend have came out as favorable for the film which is a very good sign for it. Movie Fitoor is also going in some foreign countries like- Canada, U.S, Nepal etc. so it is clear that it will be having some additional income from internationals and overseas market. By now Fitoor has collected 5 Crores* on its third day being Sunday.

It is very straight fact that it is a mid budget movie and still doing good job but might not earn a huge amount like previous released movie Holiday etc. Meanwhile, having decided that in a film where all of Aditya Roy Kapoor’s hair is bunched upon his head and all of Katrina’s is plunged in a Chinar-esque red, in the hope perhaps that you don’t notice their blank faces below, Tabu takes it upon herself to act for the entire film.” The film clashed on the box office with another love story Sanam Re. Since it is Valentine’s week, both the directors Abhishek Kapoor and Divya Khosla Kumar decided to face off with each other at the box office
