The first look of Vijay’s Mersal has received fantastic reviews from the audience. Two looks of the actor were revealed on the occasion of his 43rd birthday on June 22. The posters show Vijay in a rural avatar and in a magician’s get-up. However, the third and the last look of the actor has not been unveiled yet. It is believed that the makers want to keep it a surprise. Many celebrities have lauded the two looks of Vijay in Mersal, which stars Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen in the lead roles.

Mersal First Look

The title and first look at 6 pm on Wednesday, June 21, the makers treated the fans of Vijay with one more poster later in the night. In the second picture, Ilayathalapathy is seen in a colourful avatar. Going the photo, it appears like Ilayathalapathy will be seen as a magician in his second role. Coming to the first poster, it presents Vijay in a rural avatar. He is seen sporting ‘vibhuti’ (sacred ash) on his forehead, while the twirled moustache with a beard gives him an attractive look.

What is more interesting is the bulls in the background that tells that the movie has a connection with ‘Jallikattu,’ the traditional bull-taming sport of Tamil Nadu. The fans have given an overwhelming response to the film and the title. On social media, topics related to the movie and its first look were also trending.

Earlier, it was reported that the makers had considered five names that also included Moondru Mugam, the title of Rajinikanth‘s 1982 hit film. But the said name was later dropped and only four titles were in consideration. The movie marks the second union of Atlee with Vijay after Theri.

In the latest film, Ilayathalapathy is romancing top heroines like Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen. SJ Suryah plays the role of the villain in the movie, which will hit the screens in October. The movie also has Vadivelu and other few others in the supporting roles. AR Rahman is composing the music for the flick while Sri Thenandal Films is bankrolling it.
