Dishoom Ninth Day Box Office Collection
John Abraham starrer Dishoom has netted Rs. 53.34 crore in the first week of its release. The Rohit Dhawan direction was released in 3,600 screens across India. Dishoom’s budget was approximately Rs. 70 crore with about Rs. 15 crore spent on promotions. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and presented by Eros International, Dishoom’s script revolves around India’s top batsman, who goes missing in the Middle East and two police officials from either side of the Arabian Sea team up for a 36-hour manhunt.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan starrer Sultan is inching close to Rs. 300 crore mark in the box office collection. The film has so far grossed Rs. 297 crore. In the opening week, Dishoom recorded almost good occupancy and did the business of 53.34 crores with 37.32 crores of weekend and 16.02 crores of weekdays on domestic box office. From the overseas market too, it reported quite good business and minted the amount of 20.06 crores in a week. Now the movie is running in its second weekend and heading with decent pace as the new releases of this week have no hype among audience.
On Friday, Rohit Dhawan’s directorial raked the business of 2.05 crores* and made its 8 days total as 55.38 crores*. On the next day i.e. Saturday being weekend, Dishoom reported decent growth in its occupancy and as per report, estimated to add the amount of around 2.95 crores* to its account. With this, its 9 days total collection will become 58.30 crores* on domestic box office.
The film will comfortably cross 60 crore mark by its 2nd weekend. Dishoom is on its way to achieve the target of around 70-75 crores by the end of its 2nd week. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
