Dirty Politics, Hey Bro & Badmashiyaan Monday Box Office Collection

Hey-Bro-Dirty-Politics-Badmashiyan 2Dirty Politics starring Mallika Sherwat and a host of veteran actors released last Friday and the film opened up with a very low Box Office collection. Directed by KC Bokadia, the film Dirty Politics witnessed a very average start at the Indian Box Office with a collection of Rs 1.25 crores on Friday that is on its opening day. The film features Mallika Sherawat and senior stars like Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana and Anupam Kher got released along with three other films namely, Coffee Blooms, Badmashiyan-Fun Never Ends and Hey Bro. Although, the did not enjoy much of a good start on its first day, Dirty Politics witnessed little growth in its Box Office collection in the first weekend, that is Satuday and Sunday. Dirty Politics made a Box Office business of Rs 1.50 crores on first day of the weekend that is Saturday, taking its two day Box Office revenue to Rs 2.75 crores at the domestic market. As per early estimates, KC Bokadia’s Dirty Politics kept similar pace on second day of the weekend with a Box Office collection of Rs 2.3 crores (approx) on Sunday. Dirty Politics did not have much of promotions and the negative reviews by the critics might have further affected the film’s business. Dirty Politics covered decent amount in its side and total Fourth day collection is recorded as Rs.1.85 crore.

Hey Bro, a misadventure by choreographer, Ganesh Acharya, backfires. An old saying: Monies made in film industry stays in film industry. The film will prove to be a total loss of investments plus expenses incurred on releasing it. The film barely manages to cross Rs 50 lakh mark in its opening weekend. Hey Bro is around Rs.35 lacs on its Fourth Day at Box Office.

Badmashiyaan, a film sans face value and amateur script and handling, with exams season to contend with, adds to the year’s disaster list. The film had one of the poorest opening day with collections ranging around Rs 10 lakh, thereafter, any improvement was irrelevant. The film managed to collect just about Rs 50 lakh in its first weekend. Badmashiyaan Fourth  done better today and closed at Rs 30 lacs at th domestic box office.
