Dilwale 14 Days Worldwide Collection Report
Shah Rukh’s “Dilwale” crossed Rs 250 crore and is now close to touching the Rs 300 crore mark. The worldwide gross box office income of “Dilwale” is Rs 287.80 crore, which includes 10-day gross income of Rs 176.97 crore (net income Rs 123.88 crore) and overseas Rs 110.83 crore. Meanwhile, “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” shattered the records of Shah Rukh’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” at the worldwide box office with its gross income. Both the films are now set to beat the record of Kangana Ranaut’s highest grosser “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”. However, it remains to be seen which movie will beat “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” record first, as “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” collections are in the same range.
However the film has witnessed a major dip on the second Monday and Tuesday. The film had already dipped on the first Monday but after a steady first week, it seemed that the film would have a steady weekend. But, Dilwale crashed on the second Monday again and further dipped on the second Tuesday. As exhibitor and distributor, Akshaye Rathi revealed, “Dilwale has crashed in the second week. It collected just Rs 3 crore on Monday and another Rs 2.15 crore on Tuesday. The occupancy has dipped heavily in the second week.”
The film had collected Rs 123.88 crore by the end of the second week. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted earlier, “#Dilwale doesn’t witness major spurt in biz, despite holidays. [Week 2] Fri 8.11 cr, Sat 6 cr, Sun 7.12 cr. Total: Rs 123.88 cr. India biz.” Add to that Rs 3 crore and Rs 2.15 from the second week, you get a total collection of Rs 129.03 crore at the end of 12 days. Dilwale had received mixed reviews, but while the audience’s response was good initially, it seems that they have changed their mind as the film has no takers in the second week. The film is set to dip further during this week, but with no release till January 8, the film might have an extended run at the box office.
Trade analyst have been scrutinizing about Dilwale total collection right from its preview and first look. It has set a new trend for other Bollywood biggies to cross over a much higher and tougher level of collections in domestic as well as international box office. In this article, we have mentioned in detail total collection of film from its opening day till now. After completion of 2 weeks on box office, India collection of Dilwale is 138+ Crores* including 2.10 Crores* of 14th day.
