2 Weeks Collection of Dhruva
Ram Charan starrer latest Telugu movie Dhruva was released on 9th December 2016. The movie has completed its 2 weeks journey at box office and performed very well through out. The stardom of Ram Charan is the main reason behind the success of the movie because the movie got mixed reviews from audience and even after that collected good amount. Ram Charan’s “Dhruva” (Druva) has taken its collection share closer to the Rs. 40-crore mark at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office in 14 days.
But it has failed to beat the two-week business record of “Bruce Lee-The Fighter.” “Dhruva” was released in 900 screens across 825 locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Decmeber 09. The movie opened to massive response and became the biggest opener for Ram Charan. Despite getting mixed feedback from the audience, the film fared well on the following days and collected Rs. 40 crore gross at the AP/T box office in the first week. It earned Rs. 28.75 crore* for its distributors in seven days.
The Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer faced a big threat from new releases like “Veera Sivaji & Wajah Tum Ho,” which snatched some screens from it. When compared to its opening week, “Dhruva” witnessed over 60 percent drop in its collection in its second week, but its business was better than that of many recent big-ticket releases.
In its second week, “Dhruva” has collected approximately Rs 8.25 crore* gross at the AP/T box office, taking its 14-day gross total to Rs 36 crore. The movie has added Rs 14+ crore to the total share of its distributors which now stands at Rs 50 crore. The film has failed to beat the two-week record of “Dhruva,” which earned Rs. 50 crore to its distributors in two weeks.
