Dhruva 3rd Tuesday Box Office Response
Recently released Telugu action thriller movie Dhruva, directed by Surender Reddy and featuring the superstar Ram Charan & Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles, collecting low but steady figures at box office now. Audience liked the movie very much and that is the reason behind such rock steady performance of it in weekdays. Everyone find its story very interesting, especially its suspenseful climax. Ram Charan-starrer ‘Dhruva’ was not able to perform 100% in its second week but still managed to collect good figure as total. From its third week, movie again started facing competition due to the release of Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. Now it is running at low but collecting steady figures from its Indian screens.
In the opening week, this action thriller was recorded excellent occupancy and did the business of 30.75 crores net, with 21.75 crores of weekend and 9 crores of weekdays across Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Not only in Telugu states, but in rest of India as well as international market too, the movie has reported quite impressive business. From USA, it raked total 7.15 crores in one week. Now Dhruva is running in the second week and showed decent performance in the weekend. On its 2nd Friday, the movie faced slight drop than previous day and added the amount of 1.25 crore to its account.
Then on Saturday, with further decline the movie minted 1.15 crore. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it showed decent jump and managed to collect 1.40 crore*. Now its 10 days total collection from AP/T has become 34.55 crores* In weekdays, as expected it received lesser response than weekend and did the business of around 6.20 cr, including 1.90 cr* of Monday, 1.60 cr* of Tuesday, 1.45 cr* of Wednesday and 1.25 cr* of Thursday. After 2 weeks, total collection of this Surender Reddy’s directorial was recorded as 40.75 crore* on AP/T box office.
On Friday, it was recorded less occupancy than previous day and minted only 0.68 crore* as 15th day collection. On the next day i.e. Saturday, being weekend it resulted in out little bit higher than Friday but still low. Dhruva done the business of approx. 0.82 crore* as its 16th day collection. On Sunday, the movie is expected to get more and as per estimation it would collect 0.95-0.97 crore* as its 17th day collection. Now once again it has entered in weekdays and being normal working days, getting more lower response than weekend. From Monday, it has again entered in weekdays and started facing drop in its business. Dhruva was done the business of around 0.46 crore* as its 18th day collection. On Tuesday, movie recorded almost similar response as Monday and minted near about 0.42 crore* as its 19th day collection.
