2nd Monday Collection of Druva

Ram Charan Teja’s Dhruva performed well at the worldwide box office in its second weekend. The audience turnout to theatres to watch the Telugu film remained good, which helped the film end its 10-day collection on a high note. As per trade reports, the gross collection of the movie recently reached the Rs 55-crore mark and the distributors have also recovered most of the investment. The movie is on the verge of becoming a profitable venture for them. According to early estimates, Dhruva earned close to Rs 47 crore as distributors’ share. The area-wise break-up is yet to be revealed.

It is now estimated that Dhruva could earn a lifetime distributors’ share of Rs 60 crore. The movie could only achieve this feat if it maintains the same momentum. Dhruva was released on December 9 to a huge expectation. The movie opened to a good response everywhere and collected Rs 22.50 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day. But it failed to become the biggest opener for Ram Charan. Bruce Lee — The Fighter had grossed over Rs 23 crore. In the first weekend, Dhruva collected over Rs 40 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, trade experts predict the film would do well as the release of S3 aka Yamudu, which was supposed to happen on December 23, has been pushed due to various reasons. So lack of competition is expected to benefit the Ram Charan-starrer. Now Dhruva is running in the second week and showed decent performance in the weekend. On its 2nd Friday, the movie faced slight drop than previous day and added the amount of 2.25 crore to its account. Then on Saturday, with further decline the movie minted 2.75 crore. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it showed decent jump and managed to collect 3.25 crore*.

Now its 10 days total collection from AP/T has become 40+ crores*. Film has gained excellent fame in its first week and also it has managed to receive nice response in the second week too. Audience in the south seems still tilted towards the film due to non availability of any other big option in their regional language right now. With optimistic approach of viewers even today film has managed to collect an earnings of around 0.80 Crores* on 11th day.
