Aamir Khan has made sure to reach as many places as possible with this film. On Sunday, the Haryana government made Aamir Khan starrer Dangal tax-free in the state. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the film was giving out a great message and was giving boost to the important ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ mission in the state. This was the reason the government took a decision to make it tax-free.

Manohar Lal Khattar said the government was in the process of preparing a film policy to promote Haryanvi films in the state. He said a meeting in this regard was recently held with the owners of cinema halls. Also, Dangal has entered the Rs 100-crore club in its first weekend itself. The movie made on life of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his wrestler daughters Geeta and Babita is winning hearts.
The film has smashed records at the box office, as it witnessed the biggest single day ever with a grand collection of Rs 42.35 crore on Sunday, which also happened to be Christmas. Trade pundit Taran Adarsh shared the box office numbers. On Friday, the film minted Rs 29.78 crore and on Saturday, it bagged Rs 34.82 crore. With its release during difficult times, Dangal wrestled demonetisation and emerged victorious, wrote Adarsh in a tweet.
Aamir’s films have always proved to be a boon to box office. Dangal is Mr Perfectionist’s fifth film to cross Rs 100-crore club in first weekend. The trend started with Ghajini (2008), followed by 3 Idiots (2009), Dhoom 3 (2013) and PK (2014).
