Dangal 12 Days Overseas Collection
Aamir Khan‘s Dangal has been a rage at the box office since it released on December 23. The movie has not only performed well at the domestic box office but the international box office too. In fact, Dangal released in the overseas market a day before the Indian release and has performed tremendously well. In fact, on day 12, Dangal even crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the overseas box office. Its total tally now stands at Rs 154.81 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the official figures and mentioned, “#Dangal crosses Rs 150 cr internationally… OVERSEAS – Total till Mon, 2 Jan: $ 22.63 million [Rs 154.81 cr].”
Talking about the detailed collections, let us mention to you that Dangal has collected USD 9.69 million (Rs 66.26 crore) in North America itself! At the Gulf market, the total box-office tally stands at USD 6.31 million (Rs 43.15 crore). In U.K., the film has collected USD 3.18 million (Rs 21.74 crore), while in Australia, Dangal has collected USD 2.12 million (Rs 14.50 crore). The Monday collections are still being calculated, with a few screens and locations yet to report their collections.
Looking at these figures, we have to mention that Aamir Khan‘s film has sustained well at the overseas market and we expect it to hit the Rs 175 crore mark soon. However, reaching the Rs 200 crore mark will be tough considering the fact that the holiday season has finished. The makers may boost their overseas collections by introducing new locations, but currently the producers have no intentions of doing that
In the meantime, Dangal has earned a staggering Rs 284.69 crore in the domestic market and will soon overtake Salman Khan‘s Sultan. The positive word of mouth publicity has helped the movie to sustain and with no big release this weekend, it will stretch its wings till January 13.
