Chakravyuha First Day Box Office Response
Puneeth Rajkumar’s “Chakravyuha” marks the directorial debut of Tamil filmmaker M Saravanan in Sandalwood. The movie is a remake of his Kollywood flick “Ivan Veramathiri,” which starred Vikram Prabhu and Surabhi. Rachita Ram has paired up with Puneeth Rajkumar for the first time. Tamil actor Arun Vijay is entering Kannada films as a baddie in “Chakravyuha,” which also has Sadhu Kokila, Abhimanyu Singh, Bhavya, Rangayana Raghu and others in the cast. “Chakravyuha” has the music of popular Tamil/Telugu composer S Thaman. A few songs, including “Geleya Geleya,” have impressed the audience. The trailer and other promos have evoked lots of curiosity about the film. Hence, there are high expectations from the Kannada flick.
The movie tells the story of an ordinary man turning into a vigilante. The law minister incites violence in a college campus that kills three and leaves many injured. The police fail to take action on those behind the incident. It is then that an unemployed youth rises to the occasion to punish the offenders. The hero employs a unique idea to seek revenge against the law minister, and what he does is the crux of the story. Overall occupancy of the films was fantastic today and most of the shows were seen houseful in the regions of Kannada films.
Films made greater business in south India in the regions of Karnataka especially and recorded a total first day income of around 6 crores* for Chakravyuha. These are very positive amount for the films considering today only first day of their release. Now the films are set to face their first weekend and next two days will be very profitable for them as it is the weekend time. Audience was waiting a long time for these film getting release and now when the day has finally came, audience showed up huge interest in the films and everyone was outside the theatres and cinema halls today to watch this movie.
