Brothers 5th Day Box Office Collection
Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra’s “Brothers” has recorded the second highest opening weekend total of 2015, after Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. Interestingly, “Brothers” is also the highest opening weekend for Akshay and Sidharth. The film directed by Karan Malhotra crossed Rs 50 crore mark in its opening weekend. “Brothers” three days box office collection stands at Rs 52.08 crore, which is highest for Akshay and Sidharth both. Until now, “Rowdy Rathore” was Akshay highest opening weekend with Rs 48.30 crore, while “Ek Villain” was Sidharth’s highest opening weekend grosser with Rs 50.70 crore. “Brothers” had the second highest opening day with Rs 15.2 crore and on second day, i.e. on Independence Day holiday the film’s business went up by 40%. However, “Brothers” failed to maintain the same pace on Sunday as it witnessed 40% drop in its collection. Friday Rs 15.2 crore, Saturday Rs 21.43 crore and Sunday 15.45 crore. The film, produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star, features Jackie Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez in prominent roles.
Brothers Tuesday Business Report
The film raked in $2.4 million (Rs. 15.36 crores) from the International arena. Adding the film’s gross India business of 70.30 crores, Brothers‘ worldwide business now stands at 85.66 crores at the Box Office. So, far the film is 9th Highest Grossing film of the year at the Domestic Box Office. Anyhow, Brothers did fantastic job in its first weekend by claiming high box office collections till now. Today is the 5th day of release for this stupendous action and stunts filled film and in spite of the weekdays now the film getting low audience response and feedback. Multiplexes are contributing low income for the film and single screens are also running decently. Total fifth Day / Tuesday Collection of Brothers is around 5.11 Crores which is quite low as a Tuesday income. This coming weekend is expected to raise the bar of this action film with increased occupancy and income. How so ever new Bollywood films are also releasing coming Friday which might affect the performance of Brothers with the start of coming weekend.
