Brahmotsavam 4 Days Box Office Collection
This Friday released, superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest offering ‘Brahmotsavam’ has completed its opening weekend journey on a decent note. The movie has been released with much excitement among fans as well as Telugu audience and also taken an excellent start on box office. But received negative reviews from critics as well as audience, which led it to face heavy drop in its business from the second day only.
“Brahmotsavam,” which was released in over 1,000 cinema halls in AP/T on May 20, was slightly affected by cyclone and rain in Andhra Pradesh, but opened to fantastic response in Telangana in the morning shows on Friday. The movie received mixed talk from the audience and the word of mouth took a toll on its business in the later shows everywhere. “Brahmotsavam” collected Rs. 16.30 crore at the AP/T box office on the first day and its distributors’ share stood at Rs. 12.56 crore.
The movie was expected to beat the record of “Srimanthudu” (Rs. 19 crore gross/Rs. 14.72 crore share) and become the biggest opener for Mahesh Babu, but it was not to be. The rain and the word of mouth took the business of the movie down on Saturday. The Srikanth Addala-directed family entertainer witnessed a 75 percent dip in its collections when compared to its opening-day business. “Brahmotsavam” collected approximately Rs. 4.08 crore gross at the AP/T box office on Saturday and its two-day-gross total collection has reached Rs. 20.38 crore.
On the next day, being Sunday it was resulted out in good for the movie and minted approx. 14.50 crores* including shares. At the end of weekend, total collection of it was around 35+ crores*. Now weekdays have started and as usual Brahmotsavam has started facing drops in its business. On Monday its collected was recorded around 2.25 crores* at AP/T Box Office.
