Box Office: Raees 8th Day Collection, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer crosses 115 crore

Last week released much awaited crime thillier movie ‘Raees’ of superstar Shahrukh Khan with stars Mahira Khan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui has completed its one week journey with great performance. The movie was released with huge excitement of audience across the country as well as in overseas and received overwhelmed response through out. With the end of its first week, it has entered in 100 crore club at domestic box office and become the first highest grosser of the year so far. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees has entered in the elite club of 100 crore at the box office.

Raees had made a collection of Rs 20.42 crore on its first day. Also had made an even better business on Thursday (Republic Day) and collected Rs 26.30 crore, followed by Rs 13.11 crore on Friday. The SRK-starrer had continued to make excellent box office collection over the weekend as it had earned Rs 15.61 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.8 crore on Sunday, taking its 5-day total nett collection to Rs 93.24 crore.

The actual collections aren’t released by its makers, but as per early estimates, this crime action thriller collected around 8.25 crores yesterday i.e Monday, On Tuesday box office collection of Raees is 7.52 Crores and now stands with a grand total of 109.01 crores. On its 2nd Wednesday, Raees witnessed slight more drop in its occupancy than previous day and added the amount of 7.10 crores to its account.

Raees faced a clash with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil, which also released on the same day. The two films opened a day before the Republic Day and are eating up the profits of each other. However, Kaabil has fallen behind with Rs 79.6 crore earned till Tuesday. Raees has also minted Rs. 45.63 crore gross earning in overseas market in first four days of its release. Shahrukh Khan to enter in 100 crore club domestically after his Ra.One, Don 2, Chennai Express, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Happy New Year & Dilwale.
