Kaabil passes the second weekend test, Earns Rs 118.14 crore
After rock solid performance in its first week and even in second weekend, Kaabil box office collections have been steadily falling over the last few days due to the commencement of weekdays now. While the film hit the screens on January 25. It has not only managed to hit the Rs 100 crore mark within 10 days but has also passed the second weekend test with flying numbers. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil that released in the last month has been doing well at the box office, though the business has fallen down in the last three days.
In the first week, Kaabil showed outstanding performance at box office and grossed total 90.55 crores on Hindi Indian screens. Total one week collection is comprises with 67.46 crores of weekend and rest 23.09 crores of weekdays. On the very first day of it second week, the movie had witnessed considerable drop and minted the amount of 5.70 crores. On next day, it had faced slight more drop and recorded the amount of 5.25 crores as its 9th day collection.
The film experienced a good jump on its second Friday. and collected 6.40 crores, On the next day i.e second Saturday, being weekend the day has resulted out better for Kaabil. It has collected the amount of 9.22 crores as its 10th day collection more and with this, the collections have touched 106.17 crore. Sunday has resulted out better and the movie added 11.88 crores to its account on Indian screens. Till the end of its 12th day, total collection of Kaabil is calculated as 118.05 crores. Seeing the decent performance of Kaabil at the box office.
Kaabil opened with low occupancy and public response today due to Monday being a working day. Day brought decent income in account of the film. This second weekend has also ended with positive remarks for the film and by the end of today, on its 2nd Monday Collection of Kaabil stands at nearly 2.97 Crores; its total India collection is 121.02 Crores.
Producer Rakesh Roshan had given us a detailed understanding stating, “I sold the film for a lesser price to my distributors. I am the only producer who sells to individual distributors. My all India sale to distributors is not exceeding more than Rs. 42 crores. I made the film in, without counting Hrithik’s and my price, we have made the film at a budget of Rs.35 crore. Plus Rs. 15 cr on P&A. Satellite rights were sold for Rs. 50 cr, while music was sold for Rs 8 crore. Overseas went for Rs. 16 crore.”
