Box Office: Firangi and Tera Intezaar 2nd Day Collection, Both Remain Low

Post Golmaal Again storm, box office has again gone back to the dull phase it was prior to it. This week we saw two movies clashing at the box office which were supposed to release previous week – Kapil Sharma’s Firangi & Sunny Leone-Arbaaz Khan’s Tera Intezaar. There wasn’t much of an expectation from either Firangi or Tera Intezar to open well at the Box Office.

On the opening day, Rajiev Dhingra’s directorial Firangi recorded the below average occupancy of 15-20% across the country including single as well as multi screen cinemas and did the business of 2.10 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Saturday, despite being weekend the movie the movie showed growth and raked the amount of 2.30 crores. With this, its 2 days domestic total has become 4.40 crores.

The story of the film “Firangi“, set in 1920s’ Punjab, revolves around a villager named Manga who goes through a tough time in the society for being a servant of British government at a time when Indians were fighting for freedom.

On the other hand, the Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar has received negative reviews from almost from critics as well audience. On the opening day, it witnessed dull occupancy of 5-7% on around 1000 screens across the country and minted the amount of 0.51 crore.

On Saturday, being weekend and due to negative reactions of audience, the movie remained falt and added the amount of 0.40 crore to its account. With this 2 days total collection of Tera Intezaar has become 0.91 crore on domestic box office. It is directed by Rajeev Walia and produced by Aman Mehta and Bijal Mehta.
