Box Office: Bhoomi, Haseena Parkar and Newton 2nd Day Collection Domestically

This Friday released action thriller film Bhoomi directed by Omung Kumar, is receiving mixed reviews from critics as well as audience and heading on an average note at box office. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sidhant Gupta. Produced by T-Series & Legend Studios. The film released with Haseena Parkar and Newton. Rajkummar Rao’s Newton is an official entry to Oscars 2018.

Sanjay Dutt and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer ‘Bhoomi’ is an emotional, revenge drama that centres around the relationship between a father and daughter. On the opening day, the film recorded only 15% of occupancy across the country and did the business of 2.25 crores.

On the next day i.e. Saturday, T-Series’ presentation witnessed slight growth and minted the amount of 2.47 crores. With this, total two days collection of Bhoomi has become 4.72 crores at domestic box office. On the other hand, Apoorva Lakhia’s directorial biopic crime drama Haseena Parkar has also received negative reviews from critics and got failed to attract audience, specially in multiplexes.

On Friday with decent buzz among his fans, Haseena Parkar reported 5-10% of occupancy and raked the business of 1.87 crore. With almost similar response, the movie collected the same 2.60 crore on Saturday and to make 2 days domestic total as 4.47 crore from Indian screens.

The third one, Amit V Masurkar’s directorial Newton received positive reviews from most of the critics, but isn’t able to attract much audience because of it’s genre. On the opening day, it recorded only 5% of occupancy and minted the amount of 0.96 crore.

Due to positive response, on Saturday with slight jump the movie has done the business of 2.52 crore and to make it’s 2 days domestic total as 3.48 crore. Newton, a Hindi film set against the backdrop of elections in the world’s largest democracy, was on Friday announced as India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars 2018.
