Last Friday released romantic comedy Bareilly Ki Bari has performed better than expected so far. Despite mixed reviews from critics, it witnessed fair rise in footfalls over the weekend and passed first 3 days on an overall decent note. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Bareilly Ki Barfi made good impression on audience with it’s promos, but didn’t got succeed to gain good pre-release hype.
Bareilly Ki Barfi took decent start on box office across the country despite last week released much awaited movies Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which still remained strong due to good hold over audience in the second week too. The other major release Annabelle: Creation is giving Bareilly Ki Barfi run for its money at the box office. Bareilly is totally dependent on its word of mouth whereas Annabelle is scoring big by attracting its target audience.
In the opening weekend, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s directorial this movie reported an average occupancy on 1300 Indian screens and did the business of 11.52 crores. Which included 2.42 crores of Friday, 3.95 crores of Saturday and 5.15 crores of Sunday. Now it is running in weekdays and as usual getting lesser audience in theaters but heading steadily.
On Monday, it faced almost 23.06% of drop than Friday and raked the business of 1.90 crore. On Tuesday, with little more rise it managed to add 2 to it’s account. On Wednesday, it started the day with slight lesser occupancy and as per the report added the amount of 1.65 crore to its account. With this, total 6 days collection of Bareilly Ki Barfi has become 17.07 crores on domestic box office.
