Bappa Song from Banjo is Out Now
We had revealed to you the first look and teaser of Riteish Deshmukh‘s Banjo song Bappa over the past few days and now it is finally out! The first Ganpati song of 2016 is here and we have to say it is amazing! We have had quite a few Ganpati songs over the past few years, but we have to say that this one is exceptional. In the song, we see lots of dance, masti and prayers! Riteish Deshmukh, a Banjo player, plays the instrument while praying and dancing for Lord Ganesha.
Banjo is set in Maharashtra, so obviously a Ganpati song has to be there when the film has a lot of cultural influences or else it would be really incomplete, right? Riteish is seen wearing a shirt and bandana playing with gulal. He even has Lord Ganesha painted on his palms! We see him dancing with full energy and passion as he welcomes the Lord. The music and lyrics of the song are also fabulous! The film is directed by Marathi film-maker Ravi Jadhav who will make his directorial debut in Bollywood with this film.
It is about Banjo players from Maharashtra and how this art has been neglected despite numerous youngsters getting involved in it. The song has been composed by the musical duo of Vishal-Shekhar with the former singing the song. Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the lyrics of the song. Starring Nargis Fakhri and Riteish Deshmukh, Banjo releases on September 23.
