And finally, the day has arrived. The most expensive film in Indian film history ‘Bajirao Mastani’ will be released in theaters all over the world on December 18th. The movie is being directed by none other than mega director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. ‘Baahubali’ will be released in both Hindi, Telugu & Tamil and as per reports, record number of theaters are getting ready to screen this magnum opus. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has Ranveer Singh in the lead role. This role is expected to create a turning point in his career. Deepika Padukone & Priyanka Chopra is doing the role of lady lead in the movie. She is sporting a very different look in the film, and it will be quite unique when compared to her other glamorous avatars. The supporting star cast in the movie includes Tanvi Azmi, Sukhada Khandkekar, Anuja Gokhale, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Milind Soman, Ayush Tandon & Sanjay Mishra is doing a pivotal cameo in the movie.
As per reports, ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ is being made with a budget of 120 Indian Rupees. The satellite and music rights of the film were sold for Rs 50 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively. This is quite a big amount considering the Indian market, and many film critics have already called it the Indian version of ‘troy’ or ‘Hercules’. Sanjay Leela Bhansali with assistance by Shreyas Puranik has composed the music of the film. The audio was released recently, and it was well received by the audiences. Things are expected to fetch benign results when it gets combined with the visuals of the movie. Ranveer Singh is a star with huge fan following in Mumbai & Delhi, but it will be the name of Sanjay Leela Bhansali which will pull the audience towards the big screen.
Audience expect much from this maverick filmmaker, and lets hope that he will deliver a scintillating movie. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is expected to break all first weekend collection records considering the number of theaters in which it is getting released. If reports are true, then the movie will be hitting the screens in more than 5000 screens, and this is such a huge number for an Indian movie. Most of the theaters in multi plexes have already been sold out, and this clearly symbolizes the hype surrounding the movie.
