Bajirao Mastani Advance Booking Collection & Total Occupancy all over India

Bajirao Mastani Booking Collection & Occupancy Report

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer “Bajirao Mastani” is all set to take over the cinema halls this December. “Bajirao Mastani”, which marks the comeback of Bollywood’s most romantic jodi of Ranveer-Deepika, has generated huge hype and that can be noticed in the advance booking status. The advance booking of “Bajirao Mastani” in India started on Monday and within a day several tickets sold out, especially in the National Capital Region (NCR), where tickets of several shows sold out within hours of opening the pre-booking counter. The response is similar in Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata region, where shows are going houseful.

At several theaters, especially in the North circuit, the opening day shows have ‘sold out’ status, while at other places the shows are filling up fast. Early response suggests that the film will open to a decent occupancy. However, the final occupancy percent will be revealed on the day of the release. Being a much more convenient option, advance online booking has been such a hit that even multiplexes, where, for a Friday release, you had to wait till at least Wednesday to buy a ticket, have started ticket sales a week or 10 days in advance for select movies.

Now this is one piece of news that is as stunning as it gets. The satellite rights of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani have apparently been sold for Rs. 50 crore. The deal has been signed, sealed and dusted, and it is about time that a public announcement in this regard is made public. Well, that would be seen when the film hits the screens next Friday. However, till then the producers of Bajirao Mastani can well be happy with the fact that close to 50% of the investment made on the film has already been recovered just through the satellite sales. In regions of Mumbai, the booking status was 50% and this is advance booking status for Bajirao Mastani and 59% is in the regions of North India including cinemas located in NCR, New Delhi region.

States like West Bengal and Karnataka are showing around 83% occupancy status before the release. This year, four blockbusters have seen advance bookings. In a strategic move, the advance booking of “Bajirao Mastani” started in early November in the UAE. The film also received terrific response at the UAE-GCC box office. Directed by  Sanjay Leela Bhansali, “Bajirao Mastani” features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. The film will hit screens worldwide on 18 December along with SRK’s “Dilwale”.
