Bajirao Mastani 19th Day Collection Report
Ranveer Singh’s film is unstoppable at the box offices in India, but Shah Rukh Khan’s film is leading at the overseas box office. At the worldwide box office, “Dilwale” has grossed more than “Bajirao Mastani” in their 17-day theatrical run. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historic period drama has grossed Rs 321 crore at the worldwide box office, while “Dilwale” has grossed close to Rs 350 crore. “Bajirao Mastani”, also starring Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, accumulated Rs 162.35 crore net and Rs 231.93 gross from Indian markets, while the 17-day overseas earnings of the film is Rs 90 crore. Now it is running in the third week and has done the business of total 20.50 crores in the weekend, that includes 7.50 crores of Friday, 6 crores of Saturday and 7 crores of Sunday.
Once again Bajirao Mastani has entered in weekdays and started getting low occupancy in theaters. On its third Monday, the movie was recorded the business of 3.40 crores* and made its 18 days domestic total as 165.75 crores*. The domestic box office box office collection of “Bajirao Mastani” is higher than Shah Rukh’s “Dilwale”, but on the other hand, Ranveer’s film is trailing in the international market. Meanwhile, “Bajirao Mastani” is the third-highest grosser of 2015 and 13th-highest grosser of all time. The film has shattered the records of Salman Khan’s “Dabangg 2” (Rs 155 crore) to gain the 13th spot in the all-time top grossers’ list.
On the next day, it has managed to collect 2.63 crores* with little bit lower response than last day and made its total to 168.38 crores* at domestic box office. The movie was released on 18th of December and has become third highest grosser of year 2015 before the completion of its third weekend. The movie was released opposite to the biggie Dilwale starring superstar Shahrukh Khan, but very surprisingly the Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone & Priyanka Chopra starer has dominated Dilwale on domestic box office.
