Bajirao Mastani 17th Day Collection
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Bajirao Mastani” has ended 2015 on a good note with its box office collection. The domestic box office collection of “Bajirao Mastani” is inching towards Rs 150 crore mark. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer “Bajirao Mastani” has raced ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dilwale” to become the fourth highest grosser of 2015 and now, the film is set to beat the records of Kangana Ranaut’s blockbuster film “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” to become the third highest grosser. With its outstanding box office run, “Bajirao Mastani” has achieved a hit status in India. The film has also shattered the record of Salman Khan’s film “Bodyguard”.
Salman’s film earned Rs 148.86 crore in its lifetime run from Indian markets and with Rs 149 crore, “Bajirao Mastani” has broken that record. Ranveer’s film is now the 15th highest grosser of all time in India. Meanwhile, “Bajirao Mastani” has crossed Rs 200 crore mark with its gross income. The gross 15-day box office collection of “Bajirao Mastani” is more than Rs 210 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama. With no release this week, the film is heading for a strong third week box office run. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s presentation Bajirao Mastani has dominated the adjacent release Shahrukh Khan starrer Dilwale within two weeks of release.
This is really an appreciable achievement for this historical love story. It was started with decent pace on box office but the positive word of mouth and steady business have turned to great success. Till the end of second week, total collection of Bajirao Mastani was calculated as 141.85 crores. Now the movie has entered in its third week and started the week with decent jump in its business. It has witnessed higher response on its 15th day and raked 7.50 crores. On the next day also it has received almost similar response and minted the amount of 7.35 crores*. Till the end of its 16th day, Bajirao Mastani‘s total domestic business is recorded as 156.70 crores*.
With this total, it has surpassed the lifetime collection of Eros International’s previous presentation Tanu Weds Manu Returns and become third highest grosser movie of last year 2015. The film in its first week showed high reactions from the audience. In the starting days it made good business but fell down gradually in the later days, on its 3rd Sunday Bajirao Mastani has done a business of around 7.65 Crores* from India and now total collection become 164.35 Crores*.
