8 Days Total Collection of Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s latest Bollywood outing, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, has been running to packed theatres and has already raked in over Rs 100 crore worldwide in less than a week from its release. On Thursday, the film reportedly raked in Rs 5.06 crore, taking the film’s domestic box office collection to over Rs 73.66 crore.
Now it was the starting of movie’s second week, being its 8th day the movie has performed better than previous day. As this week no big movie from Bollywood has release, so Badrinath Ki Dulhania is getting direct benefit of that. As per the report on its second Friday the movie has made the collection of around 4.21 crores and now the film stands at Rs. 77.87 crore. After Raees, Kaabil & Jolly LLB 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has emerged as the fourth highest opening week grosser of 2017 so far.
The film was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 50 crore, including cost of production as well as advertisements and promotions. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the return of the Alia’s third collaboration with Varun. The two had made their debut together in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and also appeared together in Badrinath’s prequel, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
The story of barely-literate Badrinath Bansal (Varun) and fiercely independent Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia) has already received a thumbs up from the audience. It remains to be seen if the film will be Alia’s second film in the Rs 100 crore club (after 2 States) and Varun’s third (after ABCD 2 and Dilwale).
